Wild rice retreat was a lovely place to stay. We just stayed one night and did not take advantage of the extra amenities that could be purchased such as classes and meals so can't speak to that. The space in the nest which had a king bed and a sofa bed outside of the bedroom was roomy enough for my husband, my teenage daughter and I, and was spotless. Appreciated the extra large windows to let in as much of the winter light as possible and the heated floors-made it very open but still cozy. Very efficient use of the space. I would return for a longer stay if I planned to use some of the other amenities. Also, of note, the unit we stayed in L3 had nice views of the lake, but parking was not directly outside of the unit, rather in the parking lot, a bit of a trek on a dark windy winter night.

I can not recommend this stay enough. We have an electric car, and were able to charge for free. The tiny home/cabin we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were wonderful. You can literally walk into town exclusively on a 2 mile, beautiful trail through the woods. Part of which is lit up with lights at night. There is also a large dock close to the lake that was perfect for stargazing at night. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was really big and had hot water. The soaps they provided for the shower, hand wash, dishes etc was great. The staff were all very friendly. And the little store in the main entrance/check-in area had some cute drinks, including an assortment of wine and other alcoholic drinks, and also non-alcoholic drinks like coconut water. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone who wants a luxury nature vacation experience.

This was our first visit to Wild Rice Retreat Center but it won’t be our last! The pods to stay in were gorgeous and we loved being able to use the sauna, deck overlooking Lake Superior and the various classes. What a wonderful location too - close to Bayfield and on the Brownstone Trail. We also had 2 meals at Wild Rice and they were fantastic! Highly recommend a stay here!

Highly recommend Wild Rice! So many perks included in staying there. Classes, sauna, private accommodations, light breakfast, walking trails. Nearby towns have restaurants, galleries, rental of boats and bikes, anything you could want. Check in was easy, staff is friendly, cabins are gorgeous and modern and so, so clean!

First time staying at Wild Rice, but definitely won’t be the last! Loved having the sauna available 24 hours a day (the sauna+rain room combo was next level). The cabin was so well designed and curated - you can tell an immense amount of thought went into every aspect of the guest experience. The Latch app’s keyless entry set-up was a breeze as well. Far and away the best place to stay if you want proximity to Lake Superior and Bayfield.
