I would love to leave a good review, but I can't. The house was pretty big, like described in the information but the bathroom door in the first floor didn't work,we have to call a family member to stay at the door so we can use it. same thing even for the bathroom on the 3rd floor. the stairs were really slippery. all the sheets smell like they weren't washed in months, so instead of having fun, we lost time washing them.. They were spiders everywhere.. the night of 31st December, people were trying to shower so we could get ready to celebrate New Year. we were stuck in the bathroom cause we didn't have running water and people had shampoo in their bodies. thank God the water came..

Amy and Kenan were the absolute best hosts you could ask for. They were super nice and super fast in responding to any questions we might have had and always checked back with us to make sure we were happy. The Athens house, pool and grounds were beyond amazing! My friends and I actually never left the property except to get more groceries. The house has such a special historic charm to it. We all felt comfortable and completely at home there. Some amazing memories were created in this house for us all this past Labor Day weekend and we have Amy and Kenan to thank for it! We were all saying how we want to come back in the future.

We had an amazing time at Amy’s place! This is such a unique, comfortable, and beautifully decorated home. The property and views were unbelievable, and we loved spending time by the pool and fire pit. There were a couple of hiccups with the pool and exterior lights, but the hosts were very responsive and they were resolved quickly. We’d definitely book again!

Our family, ranging in age from 12 to 79 with everything in between, had a wonderful vacation here. The Victorian house is so much fun—so many rooms, two staircases, fabulous wallpaper (esp. the tigers and roses in the trundle bed room!) and charming vintage furnishings. There is no TV. We didn't miss it, but you might if you're planning to watch a specific event. Outside, we enjoyed gorgeous natural-looking landscaping and flowers, lovely views, a great pool, plenty of seating and tables, and a yard large enough to set up archery without endangering any neighbors! The kitchen is well-equipped, everything is spotlessly clean, and the bed linens are particularly soft and comfortable, which is not always the case in holiday rentals. While it is in a rural spot, it's only minutes from several popular Hudson Valley towns offering restaurants and shopping as well as grocery stores. The owners are lovely and available for any questions. All in all, the house and location are top notch.

What a wonderful time we had at Athena Acres! The Airbnb descriptions and pictures were accurate, but the house and property were even more beautiful in person. We had a large family reunion for a week and everyone enjoyed themselves. Amy & Kenan were very helpful with local suggestions. Each room was more beautiful. There were plenty of linens and very comfortable beds. The kitchen was large and had everything you would need. We spent a lot of time just hanging out in the kitchen and pool. The new deck addition is beautiful. WiFi was strong. We did not have time to use the fire pit. I would definitely rent from Amy & Kenan again.
