We (4 adults) stayed at this delightful Farm cottage close to Hadrian's wall and the lovely village of Haltwhistle. on our way to Scotland. We were met by Paula, a lovely caring host who gave us much information on the local area. The cottage, clean and well equipped, has beautiful views of the Northumberland countryside. We enjoyed the astonishing abundance of bird life, which is evident to the cottage being situated on a working dairy farm. We had a great stay which on reflection, was to short!

Lovely 2 night stay at the cottage. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived and felt very homely. Our 1 year old loved the kids toys provided and the kids bowls and plates were very useful. Travel cot was set up for us and a blanket provided which was really lovely. Shower was excellent and after a long walk it was very welcome. Farmers were very kind in allowing us to see the animals in the morning which our son loved. As opposed to other reviews, we had no issues with the barking dogs on the farm as they would only bark when someone was there. Our son is an early bird so we're up and about around 5, so the farmers early starts didn't affect us. Cottage is close to Housesteads, Vindolanda and other Roman sites of interest. Only things that were missing for us were a pizza cutter (haha!) And maybe a microwave that is a little simpler to use. The double bed was a bit hard for me but my husband was fine in it. Would definitely come again, had a lovely time!!

Storybook like cottage setting with a working animal farm on the property. World class views. Paula and Mick were absolutely wonderful hosts to my family. We feel like found the gem! A truly amazing experience.
