We loved every minute of our stay! A perfect cosy cottage, in a great location for exploring North Pennines, Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall and to reach Scottish Borders. The cottage is gorgeous, has every amenity for a self catering trip, and is so cosy, comfortable and peaceful. Hotel next door offers good quality food, all locally sourced food and drink. Great cafe across the road. Local town of Haltwhistle 3 miles away is charming with a good choice of cafes, pubs, shops.

We had a great stay in this lovely cottage. Cottage is an ideal base to explore the history in the surrounding area. Also good for walkers. Excellent value for money - the property is very good size and suited our family of 4. Everything was very clean too. Would definitely recommend if looking for a quiet relaxing stay. Car is a must as will have to travel for shops etc. Haltwhistle is a 10 minute drive where you will find some shops and takeaways. There is a pub/restaurant two doors down and a tea room across the road. Only disappointing thing for us was we’re were advised that the log burner glass was broken they day we were arriving. It was not something that could be fixed during our visit and was looking forward to using as it was early March and not the warmest time of year.

Perfectly located to explore Hadrian's Wall, the cottage was ideal for a young family. Plenty of space, nice and open, with comfy sofas and beds. I could not recommend it more highly.
