All the kids and us loved our little break away and especially the pool table room and the fact there were friendly dogs on site kept all the kids happy ☺️

Just returned from a fabulous stay in High Tipalt! Barn is a typical farmhouse, lovely and spacious with a well equipped kitchen, big living area and log stove which was lit on arrival. There were 6 of us including teenagers and the three ensuite bedrooms (2 with showers) were very comfortable and roomy. The location is stunning with great views, and miles away from anyone else. It is very rural and as others have said, accessed by an unsurfaced farm track but taking it slowly is fine. We saw deer in the surrounding forest and there is so much walking nearby including Hadrians Wall. Can recommend the Twice Brewed Pub for lovely food. A perfect holiday, thank you!

Booked for a family get together, 6 adults and 3 children and it was fantastic! Susan was so helpful even prior to the stay, advising on ASDA delivery etc which saved a huge job. She put away all our shopping and even baked us a delicious cake! Place is spacious, open plan and ideal for what we wanted. We all enjoyed homecooked meals together, prepared in a well equiped kitchen and even sampled the farms splendid meat which was for sale. Lots of games, books and dvds for entertainment or even just getting cosy around the log burner is great. views are fantastic and you see a beautiful sunset from the livinh room window. We went for a big walk from the cottage and recruited the farm dog, Sadie who was loved by us all, especially the kids. Games room was a great addition and helped cement some great memories as a family. We will definately book again, nothing but praise for the whole stay.

Wow, what an incredible place. The cottage is beautifully set in the heart of Northumberland, just 3 miles from Hadrian's Wall. The cottage is very private and is great for Hikers or young families. It is a warm farm cottage with large tastefully decorated rooms, each room has it's own ensuite. The host we super friendly and were very welcoming and accommodating. They ever made us a cake, which was a wonderful surprise and was a welcomed treat especially with our late check-in. I would give this cottage 7stars if I could. We would definitely stay there again.

We are a family of 6, wanting to stay close to the section of Hadrians Wall that we had identified as ideal for us to walk: Steel Rigg to Housesteads. Susan’s holiday cottage was perfect for us - very easy to reach the Wall, and also Vindolanda. The cottage is warm cosy and welcoming, and very well equipped all round. Susan herself was a friendly and very accommodating host. Thank you for a lovely stay!
