We had a wonderful stay! The scenery is beautiful and the house is great. The house has a nice open space in the kitchen and living area. Plenty of room to hang out and visit. The back porch is great for hanging out and watching the waves. Host was immediately responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

What Beauty Will Be Revealed Tomorrow? Bethany's Place was absolutely the perfect retreat! We felt like we were away from everything and yet a few minutes to lighthouses, the Farnsworth Museum, and we drove to the field and barn in the inspirational painting, "Christina's World" by Andrew Wyeth. The home was immaculate, and the view was mesmerizing every time we looked out. High tides, low tides, a foggy morning--photos can only capture the beauty--it continually filled us with peace. Bethany and Aldo were always available to answer questions. They are the perfect hosts. And if you do go to Bethany's Place, be sure to visit award winning Chef Kelly's Primo Restaurant in Rockland, a fine dining farm-to-table restaurant and Claws, an award winning lobster shack. Staying at Bethany's Place fulfilled a bucket list item that we'll want to repeat again and again!

We rented this home for a family reunion with elderly parents, 2 couples and 2 children - we had more family staying at a nearby resort, and we hosted many dinners for 16+ people of all ages, pulling the dining table out on the deck next to the picnic table - plenty of room, perfect kitchen, 2 grills and tons of comfortable Adirondack chairs for many wonderful evenings. The rocky shore and adjacent pier made for endless hours of crab hunting, fishing, and swimming. The 3 king beds and 3 single beds were incredibly comfortable, with bright clean linens and a linen closet full of wonderful towels - even four huge beach towels. The place was spotless when we arrived, easy to find. There are houses close by but enough privacy not to have this be a bother. The view from the deck is magical. In short, we had a simply wonderful time, made priceless family memories, and would rent this place again in a heartbeat.

My family had a lovely vacation at Aldo & Bethany’s Maine cottage. The waterfront property had fantastic views and the kids enjoyed exploring the tide pools. The central location allowed us to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Camden, Boothbay Harbor, and Freeport easily. There were also plenty of local sights like the Owls Head and Breakwater Lighthouses. Nearby, McLoon’s Lobster Shack has the best lobster roll, and The Home Kitchen Cafe has great blueberry pancakes. We visited Jess’s Market for fresh local seafood. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well-equipped with high quality cookware and knives and plenty of plates, glasses, and mixing bowls, etc. Close behind the cottage is a house on a long pause mid-construction, which was a little concerning at first but we ignored it and focused on the incredible water view. Maine seems to have more hotels and resorts than rental houses, so we were glad to find Aldo & Bethany’s Maine cottage.
