The house was fine but a bit pricey for what it’s worth. I think the lawn / side yard could have been mowed and better maintained. The bbq was disgusting and didn’t have a grease trap. It was also located a half step away from the inside of the house which made it difficult to keep out bugs. The porch had a couch that was filthy and unable to sit on. The rooms were fine and clean. The game room was the best part of the house. Overall not sure this house was worth the money we spent. Improvements by the owner are needed if they are going to charge that price

This house is spacious and has a great lay out for lots of people doing various things in the evening at the same time (reading, board games, chatting, ping pole, corn hole, etc). We stayed for four nights in the heart of summer, and found the individual AC units to be great! The ping pong and corn hole games are the best we have ever had the pleasure of playing. We had our dinners catered, and found the kitchen to be well-equipped. The bed and bath linens are 100% cotton, plentiful, and quite luscious (though the down comforters were a little warm in summer:)). Our beds were super comfortable too! Margaret was a great communicator, especially upon and after arrival. She was super nice, easy to work with, and made us feel most welcome. She is not uptight and makes everything easy (check-in and check-out). We had a little mishap, and she promptly took responsibility and solved the problem. Our only complaint is that the listing is misleading in terms of the “waterfront property” and “garden.” There is no access to water nor is there a view of any water. As far as we can tell, the only time there would be water is w/ high water or flood. The house is right on the road, as is the “garden.” The garden is a big yard w/o shade. While it is spacious, we did not spend any time in it. We had a great stay, enjoyed the six comfortable bedrooms, and loved all of the hang out and dining space. Thank you for your hospitality.

Had a great weekend with friends at Meg’s place! The house/bedrooms were very clean and the house was very spacious. Beds were comfortable and our group of 11 made great use of the living room/game room areas as well as the fire pit in the back yard. The use of the pool down the road at the motel was a plus for us! It’s only a 5 minute drive to Narrowsburg where we rented rafts for the day on the river. I recommend Meg’s place for large groups!

This house fit the needs of our large group very well. It's definitely a bit rustic and on the older side, but hey, it's the country. The layout was great for a group of multiple families – a large bunk room downstairs off the kitchen that fit all the kids, then the other five bedrooms with queen beds upstairs which gave the adults some much appreciated separation. The HUGE game room with ping pong and cornhole was also a hit with both kids and adults – and totally soundproof so great for the kids to go wild in during the day and for adult hands after the kids went to bed. But the real primo feature during the summer heat was daytime access to the pool at the Blue Fox Motel just down the road. Soaking all day in the pool surrounded by Catskills nature was magic. We also had a really nice dinner at the Blue Fox's surprisingly good restaurant. We didn't use the yard area too much given our preference for the pool, but it looked nice. Be aware though that the house sits very close to the main road and isn't fully fenced in so may be an issue with kids. The house is also a short drive to the town of Narrowsburg. There are some really great restaurants and shops there, along with great views of the Delaware River. We did have a few issues with the fridge and the AC units, but the host Meg was responsive and quick to help us address them. We were staying during a summer heat wave, and the individual ACs in each room did a great job keeping the house cool even in high 90s heat. Overall, a good option for a large group of people especially when you factor in the pool access.
