Of all the places I’ve stayed in the area, none were as wonderful, as relaxing, as Nicole’s beautiful home on the ridge! Outside, spectacular views from virtually every window, the sound of birds, a night sky splashed with stars, and inside, a spacious yet cosy home with every amenity you could want, which takes advantage of the spectacular location! An easy 5-minute drive to Mrs. Wooly’s in one direction, and the whole amazing adventure wonderland that is Mt. Aspiring, Paradise, the Routeburn, the Rees and Dart River Valleys in the other! Almost every day was spent exploring that wonderland, and the few that weren’t, spent relaxing before a log fire watching the weather, the mountains, the ever-changing play of sunlight. Beds are comfy, kitchen fully equipped, and places to sit outdoors and watch the world. To make it even more perfect, Nicole is a fantastic host! Friendly, helpful, and always generous—lovely to meet her! I can’t WAIT to come back. Mahalo nui loa, Nicole!!

A truly delightful, private, peaceful spot with amazing views. This place makes you feel that your are home, with everything you could need, delightful decor, a fantastic spa bath, even yoga mats which I took advantage of outside on the patio. The night sky and morning views are some of the best I've experienced. Mahalo Nicole for your kindness and responsive. 🌺

This place feels like James Bond's New Zealand mountain hideaway. I have been using Airbnb for 9 years now, around the world and this has been the best stay so far. You'll feel like a millionaire staying here and considering what you get and compared to other NZ airbnbs we didn't even find it expensive, even as a couple. Better than the pictures. You'll get a huge garden with amazing views of the mountains during the day and the milky way at night. A really cozy living room with vintage furniture and an astonishingly huge fireplace, limitless firewood included. A huge kitchen with all the extras where cooking is just fun on another level. 3 beautiful bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms... Multiple TVs including the biggest one I've ever seen upstairs. all with stylish interior. Usually I when checking in I hide all the decorations but here everything was just really well done. And the location. Wow. Nature around here is just gorgeous. Please add a sauna and I'll be back for several weeks.
