Accommodation was amazing but golf buggy which was advertised, you actually couldn’t gain access to it? However, overall great accommodation and location.

The lodge was in an amazing location to visit the Northumberland coast and attractions. It was also a nice touch to have a bottle of Prosecco, snacks and essentials like washing up liquid, coffee, tea, sugar and milk on arrival. Kris was very prompt in his replies and was very helpful. The lodge is described as luxury but due to a few issues we didn’t think this was correct. On entering the lodge the dining/kitchen floor was dirty with no hoover or broom to sweep it up, there was a strong smell of dog on the living room carpet which we feel could be rectified with carpet deodoriser after each stay, quite a lot of the blinds were broken or missing and even though the listing mentioned a washing machine the washing machine was in fact broken. However there is a really good sized American fridge freezer in the kitchen, comfortable beds and a powerful shower.

The place was fairly tidy upon entering but make sure you take a broom and dust pan. Some cleaning supply’s and a vacuum as none will be supplied. Thank god we brought some spray and wipe. There are no mats placed inside the door. Basic amenities are not included like a chopping board for instance. We had requested a vacuum cleaner as some sugar was spilled on the carpet and no response. Also the golf cart is not available due to bad guests even though it clearly states on the listing that there would be a complimentary golf buggy. The tv doesn’t connect to the wifi so you can’t watch Netflix only a handful of tv channels. Also the tv in the bedroom doesn’t have a remote. There was black mould on the fridge water dispenser and the microwave was rusted and dirty. Although the location is nice enough and the hot tub worked fine. If the place had some cleaning products, basic amenities and a working tv it would have been an okay stay. Not impressed.

Good location. Accommodation could have done with some modernisation. 1 of the ovens doesn't work and a few of the hobs didn't work either. Sliding doors into the wardrobe area didn't close properly. We had an issue with the hot tub being emptied at 8am on check out day which hindered our stay as we were not able to use it before leaving, but this has since been resolved with the owner.
