We had an amazing stay at Fiona’s in Somerton. It felt like a 5 star hotel and more. It was perfect for a long weekend, had so many extra amenities (all of which were really high quality). The space itself is lovely; the decor and furnishings are beautiful. Would have loved to stay longer! It was close enough to shops / pubs but also very peaceful and a good break from the city. We did some walks nearby but the house is also fully equipped for a wet weather day (books, games, tv, speaker etc.) Amazing value for money. Absolutely couldn’t fault it; a gorgeous place!!

Fiona’s place was a lovely, cozy, peaceful cottage, beautifully and thoughtfully prepared to make guests feel at home. The kitchen was fully equipped to make coffee (whether Nespresso, French press, or instant) or tea in the mornings, which was much appreciated! The only notes I would make are that 1) The stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep, so if you have an elderly guest this may be a difficult climb, and 2) Communicating early with the host regarding heating is advised, as the host has control of the temperature settings. With those notes being said, however, myself and my family would have no hesitation in staying here again in the future!

A cottage that felt welcoming, handsomely decorated with a charming but functional variety of furnishings, genuinely readable books on the bookshelves and well chosen and appealing artwork from independent artworks. Kitchen well provided for in terms of pans, glasses, crockery and all you need to cook properly (even though having just two hobs required a bit of ingenuity). Very comfortable beds and bedrooms - likewise thoughtfully laid out bathrooms and as with kitchen and bedrooms small touches to add to the sense of comfort and homeliness. Sadly didn't meet Fiona to say thank you so thank you from us both - a great place to stay in a fascinating location. Thank you! Richard and Katy

We booked 2 nights at Fiona’s beautiful cottage for a trip to Stonehenge for spring equinox and I’m so glad we chose to do it like this. The cottage is absolutely stunning. A real English country cottage and garden. I’m a real details person and Fiona did not disappoint. All the tiny details were taken care of, like a guest book with information, clean tea towels and every other kitchen utensil you could need, cafetière, milk frother etc. But also all the books, soft furnishings and so much other stuff that made it cosy and homely. The best part (other than that incredible writing desk over looking the amazing view in the lounge) was the beds. Most comfortable beds and high quality soft crisp bed sheets. The location isn’t walking distance to Glastonbury but we drove everywhere and it was perfect. I am 100% booking this cottage again!
