This was our first trip to Mill Valley and it certainly is not our last. Our hosts were the best… super helpful and responsive, and happily accommodated a few special requests. The cottage is just as described. Not fancy, but lovely and clean and with everything you need and more. The stairs to the loft bedroom are steep so heed the hosts’ advice not to wear socks going up and down. The location is absolutely beautiful. You’re surrounded by nature and it’s very walkable. The shops and restaurants in MV are awesome. The area hikes the hosts suggest are breathtaking- highlight of our trip was the Dipsea to Stinson Beach. A well deserved beer and lunch at Parkside Cafe made it even better. Loved everything about this stay. Highly recommend!

I spent a few weeks in Hope and Matt’s cottage and had a great stay. The property and surrounding area is beautiful, and the cottage has all of the amenities one could need. Hope and Matt are fantastic hosts, very responsive, and were attentive to all of my needs. I highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Hope’s place! The home was clean and well appointed. The setting was tranquil and serene. Hope and her family were super friendly and professional. Our kids loved meeting the “mini” host Sadie too! We would definitely recommend Hope’s place to anyone visiting beautiful Mill Valley.

We loved our stay at Hope’s cottage. Amazing location! The cottage is an ideal spot to experience Mill Valley (MV) and surrounding areas. We walked from the cottage to awesome trails and also to downtown MV to explore the shops and for an excellent dinner at Playa. It was rejuvenating to be surrounded by redwoods and MV’s gorgeous natural landscapes. My 12 year old loved the loft space and the spiral staircase, and thought it was so cool to “stay in the mountains”. I was super comfy in the downstairs primary and loved the wall of open shelving for my things! Perfect set up for travel unpacking. Oh and reading lights…such a thoughtful touch for readers!! Hope and Matt are excellent hosts; friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. I hope to stay again. As others have mentioned, a somewhat narrow road leading to the property and a few sets of stairs up to the cottage. Not an issue for us, I loved getting my steps in!
