The location stunning, but the property is in need of a refurbishment and adequate cleaning regimes to be implemented. The outdoor furniture was rotten, full of moss and mould. The hot tub was filthy on arrival and we had to clean it ourselves before use. The TV signal kept dropping out. Some of the crockery and glasses were dirty and one wine glass had mould in the bottom of it. The water is discoloured due to it not being mains water which is off-putting to drink. The road leading down to the property is seemingly not maintained. Cobwebs and dust around the place which is not a very pleasant environment to be in. For £750.00 per night, we feel this was very disappointing as you expect luxury for that price. It was far from it. Loved the private lakeside location, but would not book again for even half the price.

Hullet Hall is truly a unique location. The view is incredible as is the waterside location. It is beautifully furnished and very cosy. Having a hot tub was brilliant. Considering the cost of hire which is considerable the kitchen was not equipped well enough. There was no bottle opener, only one preparation bowl for example. Anything more than basic catering was challenging. There were not enough toilet rolls, only 1 kitchen towel roll or dishwasher tablets for our group of 3 let alone the group of 6 the cottage was set up for. This felt rather mean and detracted from the expected standard of service the price implied. The passers by using the path near the cottage were friendly except a lady running passed the cottage told off one of my guests for smoking outside. She was very rude and referred to a previous guest who had left a cigarette stub outside which was nothing to do with us. It was quite shocking to be treated that way.
