Overall the place was good! Just a few minor aspects that would need addressing such as the door handles on the bedroom, this came off completely and we could not close the door incase we got locked in. The cooker hobs do not have markings, therefor made it quite difficult to use. The shower had quite a considerable amount of limescale on the head but the bath was lovely and large. Great location at the top of a hill, with lovely views.

Perfect location, lovely clean house, and it had everything that we needed. There was some mould in the bedrooms, the beds were OK, the shower head wouldn't stay in place, and the fridge freezer wasn't quite up to scratch, but it was perfect for what we wanted. Donna was very helpful and quick to respond.

At first the communication seemed great from the host, a welcome pack was sent via email which detailed everything we needed to know and we received messages for check in etc but this quickly turned sour after mentioning some issues and the host unfortunately did not take kindly to this and became very abrupt and accusatory. It is a shame as the house is in a great location for Alton Towers only a 30 minute drive and has some lovely views especially at night time. The house needs maintenance urgently, as it does have quite severe mould/damp especially in the upstairs bedrooms and my daughter was covered in bites in the morning that left her with a nasty bacterial infection. The house was not clean and their were lots of cobwebs, dust and general dirt that requires attention and the mattresses were very stained and we found popcorn still all over it. I would recommend investing in new cleaners and mattresses/bedding.

A really nice compact place, few issues we had were dealt with promptly. It was fine for us as we were out during the day and only used it for breakfast, dinner and to sleep. Although the advert says parking for 2 cars (1 in the driveway and the other to block the driveway) the neighbor across the road told us not to park in that way and to move the car parked outside. The electric hob doesn't have any markings so unable to see what ring was switched on and it was trial and error when we needed to use it.
