Branford is a lovely seaside town and Branford Point is a classic shore community. Quintessential NE feel. We are in a lovely location. A short walk to the beach and park thru a shrubby path at the end of our private rd. Several marinas and the boat launch are very walkable. Less than a mile.
We are about 2 miles to the downtown (walking or biking, scooter is east).
About 1 mile to the train station.
Branford has several breweries, Stony creek being the closest and walkable or bikeable.
The town green has boutique shops, coffee shops, dining, homemade ice cream, lively events on the town green etc.
we are about 10-15 min to New Haven for world class pizza, art, theatre, dining.
We are about an hour to the RI line and Misquamicut, 45-60 min to casinos, Long Island ferries and Block island ferries are under an hour.
Take a thimble island tour on the Seamist or charter a fishing trip
Mystic is about 45 min where you can find sunset cruises and more
*This is a shore community and you will find very active. walkers, runners, biking. Kayaking and paddling boarding. Boating, fishing, jet skiing. (All at your own risk)
At the beach: On the grassy park areas are picnic tables, bbq pits and a play ground for children. It’s a beautiful place to enjoy a morning walk, bike ride or even a paddle board or kayak. You can rent SUPs and kayaks very close by and go up and down the Branford River. Stoney creek brewery is an attraction as are many local seafood establishments. You are about 2 miles to the town green where shopping, dining, coffee shops, ice cream and more abound. The train station is just about a mile away and you are about an hour to casinos and Misqamicut, RI. Enjoy local wineries, breweries, theater and more. You may wish to visit Stoney creek and take a boat tour of the thimble islands. There are also charter boat fishing trips close by as well. New Haven is close by for the famous wood fired pizza. Pepe’s, modern, sally’s are my favorites.

This is a great area to walk or bike. Having a car will get to farther destinations. And you also have a train station close by as well. Please note that this is not a private beach. This is the Branford point town beach and dogs are not permitted on the beach or in the park. You can however walk to the point area with your dog just not thru the park and beach.
