Emma and Martín are wonderful hosts!!! The cabin had everything we needed. We go hiking anytime there is a trail right outside the cabin. It’s only about 25-30 minutes to Oaxaca City. We 100% recommend this beautiful cabin.

The Good: The cabin itself is very cool - the details of the construction and the natural art inside. Lovely. The location- just far enough outside of Centro to feel like a getaway but close enough to go to for errands and fun. Emma was also very responsive. The Bad: These are only bad if you expected a private home in the woods. It is not. Other reviews mentioned "friendly" neighbors but they meant *very present* neighbors. The neighbors on the side have a clear view of the kitchen from the side window. The cabin can get VERY hot so wearing little to no clothes was not an option with the neighbors doing work in eye line with the window. I made eye contact several times with them during the stay. The back neighbors are *very present* and almost want to be a part of your stay. No privacy in the back at all. No Water: We stayed 3 nights and had no water in the morning. So our last morning was totally unpleasant not flushing the toilets or being able to shower. It was a mixed bag.

Amazing private cabin in nature. We stayed for a month and loved everything. Endless hot water in the entire house. Quiet and healing home in nature, a very friendly and safe neighborhood. Emma and her husband are charming and joyful. We worked from home with great dependable Wi-Fi, perfect washer / dryer and perfect large kitchen. Thank you

We stayed at the cabin for almost a full month, and it was perfect! The space of the cabin was multiplied by the epic porch, and coming back to the cabin after a day in the city felt like a retreat. We were working remotely, and the WiFi was excellent and we had no problems. There is hiking you can do right from the doorstep with beautiful sunset views. Hot water and pressure was also great! We had a car, so getting there was not a problem, but we also took cabs there a couple of times. Emma, Linda, and all of the neighbors were incredibly kind. Highly recommend!
