The apartment was uncleaned, and it wasn't that they forgot either. I get the sense that the host has gotten accustomed to collecting the cleaning fee without actually cleaning the apartment. There was hair everywhere, the counter was sticky, dirty dishes in the microwave, and the bathroom sink was dirty from either cigarette ash or someone shaving. The most appalling of all were the roaches, one even crawled on to the pillow while I was on the bed working. Likely, the roaches are due to not regularly cleaning the apartment. The location is private with great views of the Atlantic Ocean, but sanitation is a big issue. The host was apologetic, but not proactive. Overall, it's a nice location, but sanitation is the major concern.
