Plus points - meal was really nice! Bar staff were very helpful and polite. Check in was very swift. The room was very specious. Bad points - we were put right next to a room they were doing work on. So we heard banging as soon as we checked in. And at appox 9am work started again in the room next to us. We were woken in the middle of the night as the room was so hot. The fan kept switching itself off and beeped. We heard quite a few door bangs in the night. And people talking. And the fridge in the room woke us a number of times as the fan kept firing up. At 6.15am the fire alarm went off. We got out of bed, and partly dress. But then the alarm stopped. So we headed back to bed. The room where the tv was, was totally dusty. It had not been cleaned. And the taps in the bathroom had not been cleaned either. A lot of traffic noise outside, which meant we couldn't open the windows to cool down at night. Although its negative because we didn't get much sleep...the place has potential.

Lovely place to stay. Very accommodating for us with dogs. Pub at the hotel is nice, good food but staff struggled as tended to be only one person running the hotel and pub. One particular lady with dark hair and glasses checked us in and served us. She was fantastic, totally ran off her feet but gave a great service. Would stay again.
