Had a wonderful stay at Brenda's adorable cottage. The pictures don't do it justice! Has a wonderful new-wood smell, and was super-clean. Enjoyed interacting with Brenda at breakfasts which were hearty and delicious. Highly recommended!

Brenda's cabin by the lake was exactly as advertised: "Epicurean feast with zen like surrenderings." Brenda is an exceptional host and an amazing cook. I will echo all other reviews and encourage you to take Brenda up on her offer to prepare dinners for you. We opted for her dinners all 4 nights we stayed there, and it was definitely the right decision! Thoughtfully and expertly prepared meals and easy conversations have certainly made the stay there so much more special. The cabin was cozy, clean and had all the necessities/amenities to make your stay comfortable (mini-fridge, heater/AC, toiletries, plenty of towels, good water pressure, and high-speed internet, to name a few). Brenda was very accommodating and attentive, yet not intrusive - a true super host. Our golden retriever enjoyed exploring the area, but most of all, she enjoyed being spoiled by Brenda with lots of treats and attention during our breakfast/dinner visits. A wonderful experience overall!

Brenda's place is delightfully secluded and just the right size for two for a long weekend. She is very attentive and accommodating and staying here feels a bit like being pampered with the delicious meals she makes. Definitely take her up on the offer to cook you dinner—you won't be disappointed!

Perfection at the lake. Magical, idyllic, rejuvenating, beautiful, serene, delightful, charming, and delicious. A few words that come to mind when I think about my recent 2 night stay at Brenda's zen retreat. My dog (Benny Hana), and I loved every part of our experience. The cabin is lovely, well-designed, and beautifully decorated. The lake is gorgeous and the food out of this world. Brenda is a friendly, caring and thoughtful host. I enjoyed getting to know her and appreciated all of her knowledge, suggestions and recommendations. And to top it off, she is super-talented chef who creates a phenomenal culinary and sensory experience with the presentation and taste of her meals. I feel lucky to have found this spot, to have made a friend in Brenda, and will most certainly be back. PS - My dog, Benny, also wanted to leave a review with 10 stars (well, he actually said 10 bacon bits) but he has a difficult time typing.
