Nice area. Near the water. Great place for my family. Have to be able to navigate the very narrow winding staircase, though, so it's not for everyone. Had lots of places to sleep and he was very accommodating.

Jeff was a wonderful host, always answered my questions, and made it easy to do my laundry whenever I asked to use the laundry facilities. The upstairs was pretty, although the spiral staircase is difficult for anyone with arthritis issues like myself. I didn't go upstairs much because even my cat would only go up but was afraid to go down. So that made it difficult also. The Master bedroom downstairs is wonderful! The bed is the most comfortable I ever slept on, especially with my arthritis! The sun room is a wonderful place to have coffee in the morning, the view is beautiful and calming. I think this would be a wonderful Summer get away more than winter. The downstairs was always cold due to drafts, which is expected in such an old property, Jeff is obviously not at fault. The bathroom was always cold, too. The upstairs bedrooms, though, were always toasty. It really is a beautiful property, but you must love the charm of an antique property, which is what drew me there.

Stayed here with my family (including two young kids 4 &2) during the Thanksgiving Holiday and everything was great. Jeff was super friendly, very responsive and accommodating. Place was very clean and a good size for the 4 of us. House has some charm and a very unique spiral staircase that does take some getting used to but my kids enjoyed it. Great location close to everything you need, especially Port Jefferson.
