We had the incredible fortune of staying at Elaine's place for the 2024 solar eclipse. We booked it nearly a year in advance, so I was worried she would cancel, but not only did she honor our reservation, she made the stay very special for us, leaving chocolates and a local sunshine-themed beer. The house was perfect for our family of four, with a kitchen set up for a cook, puzzles and books, and comfy beds. It was cold and snowy when we were there, but the pellet stove warmed us right up. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated with mountain views, and gave me cabin envy. :) We took advantage of Elaine's recommended restaurants in Stowe and they were great, too. We hope to come back again!

Elaine’s place is beautiful! It is exactly as in the pictures if not even more beautiful! We had a wonderful time there!!

Fern Hill was perfect for our family trip! The cabin is gorgeous -- clean, charming, cozy yet plenty of space. Elaine made us feel right at home and was very responsive and informative throughout the whole process. Everything about the place was exactly as described in the listing, and the check-in/check-out process was easy to navigate. The home had everything we needed for our long weekend stay; we just brought ourselves and a suitcase. Super convenient. Our boys loved going out on the deck and looking at all the stars at night and then catching beautiful morning light on the mountains in the morning. We easily explored Stowe and the surrounding region and then cozied up at night. We hope to come back again!
