A quiet nook in the heart of Shillong, except away from all the noise and clutter of the city..nestled in a hill top right below an illustrious pine forest, with beautiful trails and light treks waiting for you to explore.. We have a dedicated menu and serve all kinds of veg and non veg meals, all fresh and healthy home cooked meals. Our room tariff includes breakfast for eight. Access to all the major market and shopping places.all major colleges and schools within a 5 km radius. A warm cosy Assam type cottage with a modern minimalist rustic touch. The entire house has four rooms, all rooms open to a common sitting cum dinning area with a fire place to keep you warm. Our rooms are ideally built for two people. All rooms are attached with a private bathroom, we have designed each room taking into account privacy and space. We try to keep you as comfortable as possible.

Beautiful property with a garden and open place for the kids. The house was cosy and comfortable for 9 of us. Fireplace was a big plus. The caretaker was kind and friendly, breakfast and dinner we had at the homestay. Child friendly. Overall, we had a lovely time. Would recommend it to friends and family.
We can book this place entirely which is good for big families (eight of us) like ourselves. The place is a bit inside from the main road, but very accessible. When we arrived (got quite late bcoz of traffic) the caretaker was not there, however, he was back in no time on calling him. The place is nice and cozy with a living room with 4 adjacent bedrooms. Of the 4, the 2 double bedded rooms have been done tastefully. However, one of the twin bedrooms, had roaches roaming around, and would like to suggest the host to have proper cleanup. Moving on, if you want lunch or dinner you can inform the host/caretaker beforehand as they need to get the supplies. And the breakfast which was included was delectable. I was especially impressed with the aloo parathas which were superb. Plus, there are a few cafes nearby with Dylan’s cafe being a famed one. Overall a lovely place, however, needs a little more effort on the maintenance side.
The host is very rude, will not help you at all. The property is very overpriced, not worth at all. The host will imply stupid house rules which should not be worthy of a Airbnb place. There is no privacy at the property and you cannot go out or inside the property at normal times. Definitely a bad deal from me.
Katoho was very accommodating. Even though the listing doesnt have a kitchen, we had two infants whose food needed to be cooked, so they gave us access to the kitchen. Location isnv very good and walking distance from Laitmukhrah (market area) however the walk back also involves an uphill road so anyone with any foot or knee issues should avpid walking back.
Go and hit this property..you will love its rooms and common hall..best for group trip.. caretaker ANDREW is the helping person you definitely want to meet.

We can be easily located as we are not in the crowded part of the city. Police bazaar is just 15 mins(depending on traffic) and laitumkrah is about 5 mins- the two main city centres here. Transportation is also easily available-just 2 mins walk down the hill. We can also provide cabs if requested. In a nutshell we are located in an ideal locale of the city where convenience meets comfort.
