We are very close to the coastal path ( a five minute walk away). The nearest beach is a Carbis Bay which is a 15 minute walk away downhill, so coming back is a push depending on fitness levels. You can also get to the beach by car 5 mins !! Parking is ridiculously expensive so we would advise a slow ambling walk. Very picturesque and reveals the whole bay as you walk along. You can also get the bus ( every ten minutes) into St Ives. Then there is the little coastal train to St Ives halfway down the walk to the beach. This train will also take you to the local main line train station St Erth in the opposite direction to St Ives. NB : the last bus home is around 22.30 / 23.00 hours. So we are well place for getting into St Ives and all the local restaurants there ! And if you miss the last bus back, you can usually pick up a taxi from the rank next door to the local Cinema. We do of course have local restaurants in Carbis Bay : La Casita (Italian) and the Bean Inn (vegetarian).

Parking in St Ives is hit and miss .. but buses into St Ives town are every ten minutes. Penzance twenty five minutes. Truro about an hour. Trains pretty regular to st Ives on the coastal line. Also back to the mainline at St Ives where you can get the train to Truro/ Falmouth / Plymouth etc.
