Anne was extremely helpful and responsive from booking and even after our stay with her was over and we moved to another place down in the village of Laborie! I realized I had forgotten my shoes at her place and she and her husband drove them down to me! She organized a driver for our family of 5 from the airport to her place. The traditional St Lucian breakfast made by Anne in the morning was the best introduction to the food. My husband and I and our three kids all said they never had better bakes in the rest of our stay than Anne’s. Thank you again Anne!!

Anne and Cletus are a wonderful, open-hearted couple and it was an absolutle privilege staying with them. We were only in St Lucia for a stop-off for one night so we arranged beforehand (Anne is super on it communciation-wise) for Cletus to pick us up from the airport, arrange a tour of the stunning views around Vieux Fort, taking us to get amazing barbecued pork street food in Laborie. Then to Mama Tilly's, eating under the corrugated roof, watching the geckos, again, delicious home-cooked barbecued chicken and lots of side dishes for veggies too. Cletus took us to a local beach the following day, grabbing mangoes and nuts from the trees. Breakfast was wonderful mix of their fruit plus delicious saltfish and bake and, of course, Anne's unbeatable banana bread. Come here if you want to meet St Lucia. It's not five-star in the hotel rating, but 5-star in every other aspect. Thank you both.

Anne and Cletus are such warm hosts. The communal breakfast was first rate and allowed us to meet the other guests and enjoy local dishes and Anne's amazing baking. This is a home stay experience so might not be for everybody, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this air bnb. I would recommend a rental car, as it is a mountainous trip from the closest larger village, Laboree, and there is parking available.

True Caribbean experience off the beaten track, in a rustic, little village in the countryside. Public transport available nearby, but the Caribbean way, so expect no timetable ;-) A couple of small snack bars nearby, and walking distanse to some beatiful lookouts. Very welcoming hosts, happy to help with anything.

The Henry family made my trip to St. Lucia probably the best cultural experience and adventure I have ever been on. Their hospitality is truly from the heart and I really felt like part of the family rather than a stranger guest. First of all, it is incredible the fact that I booked my stay as I was in the Atlanta airport about to fly down to the island (no exaggeration) and Mrs. Henry confirmed and setup a driver to pick me up at the St. Lucia airport all in the 4 hour period I was flying down. Possibly one of my favorite parts of the trip was the food. Oh man will they give you some good food. The best part is that it is mostly all local, some of it being from their back yard. I got to try so many new foods like breadfruit, soursop, passion fruit, grapefruit, sweet potatoes (different than the ones in America), and many local dishes. The breakfasts are incredible, and they offer dinner (with the family) for an additional fee. Lastly I was just blown away by the love and hospitality I was down by everyone in the family. They really helped me learn how to get around with local buses and even gave me rides when it was convenient to them. They always asked to make sure I had a good meal or a way to get one, always made sure I knew where I was going and the good places to go, always made sure I had everything I needed. The point is the Henry family will go above and beyond what is required for an Airbnb host! They do everything from the heart, not from trying to make money. If you are there on a Sunday, go to church with the family and see pastor Henry speak! Go walk around the villages and experience the culture! This is definitely an experience far from a luxury tourist spot (although the house is still very clean and nicely put together just not a 5-star hotel) but I think it gives a far richer experience than a luxury resort. Anyway, just book your stay here!! You won't regret it!
