Evelyne the host was a lovely local lady who lived at the bottom of the hill in the village, she often dropped in for a chat where we shared family photos. Evelyne is a community minded lady who also loves her family. She has had a connection with Chalet La Mar for thirty years and knows St Lucia very well. Also a very good cook(ask nicely and she might cook you a delicious meal). The house is all about the view, which is amazing, beautiful sunsets. Remember you are staying in a local house and not a fancy hotel. There are some negatives, we experienced a lot of windy weather and frequent showers (always warm though). Mosquitos could also be a pain. Overall we loved our stay with Evelyne, friendly local town as well.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay and would recommend this serene place with a stunning view and balcony to anyone wanting to relax. Evelyne was very helpful and kind, with great communication. We would highly recommend Wycliffe as an airport pickup, and stopping off at the grocery store, as Massy will have everything you need, while the grocery store in town was very minimally stocked.

Merci beaucoup pour l’excellent service, vous avez répondu rapidement à nos besoins. Votre maison offre une très belle vue et un patio très apprécié. Le frigidaire manque de tablettes. Il y avait des bibittes morte dans les armoires et ils étaient sales. Les moustiquaires des lits étaient collants et sales. Les matelas n’étaient pas confortables. Les fenêtres ne sont pas étanches à la pluie. La laveuse est brisée. Malgré ces petits défauts nous avons su nous adapter et avons apprécié notre séjour. Merci Bonne Journée 😎 Patrick Laliberté

A great stay on the outskirts of a small working fishing village. Not too touristy, with plenty of local options for food and drink, only 45 minutes to Soufriere and the pitons, 20 minutes from the airport. Evelyne was easy to reach and extremely responsive. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome, and was always nearby if we needed her. The house is at the end of the road, and feels very secluded. For immediate neighbours, you have dogs, roosters, horses, and lizards, but there are some actual people living nearby too. Everyone we met was very friendly, including the horses. Lots of room, and morning coffee on the veranda each day came with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Hard to beat the scenery. Thank you very much Evelyne, we had a wonderful time! C&B
