If you are looking to experience living in a real life fairy tale, book Simona’s place. It is by far one of the best experiences I’ve had with Airbnb. Simona is an amazing host, and a truly kind person. She went above and beyond to help our stay as seamless as possible, met us in person and showed us around, left a really thoughtful welcome gift and shared with us the history of her home. She even helped arrange taxis to get there which was so helpful. The view from every room is a panoramic amazing view of the lake, with a beautiful terrace, great kitchen and game room. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless clean, and although it’s a small town there is a wonderful cafe less than five minute walk that’s inexpensive with fresh homemade pasta and coffee. This place really went above my expectations and if I were to come back to Como, I would be blessed to stay again. Thank you Simona, we’ll never forget our stay at your home. :)

Simona was the best host one could ask for. She greeted us outside her Airbnb and assisted us with finding a place to park. She also gave us many recommendations and checked in throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. Thank you for sharing with us your slice of paradise!

We had the most amazing stay at Simona’s beautiful home. The pictures cannot possibly do the view of the lake justice, and every moment from sunrise to sunset feels magical. The house is extremely cozy and laid out well for an extended stay. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. The location is great as you are very close to the ferry stop, bus stop and a few amazing little cafes and markets. Carate Urio is a very laid back town on the lake, and all the people were so friendly and warm. On top of all of it, Simona is one of the most genuinely kind people we’ve ever met. She made us feel at home from the moment we walked in, and was willing to help and offer advice any time we needed it. We will without a doubt be back to her home. We would highly recommend Simona’s home! If you go, make sure you get the prepared foods from the mini market down the street. The owner Anna is an incredible chef!

My wife and I would HIGHLY recommend any travelers stay at Simona's beautiful home in Carate Urio. Our experience was amazing - Simona is easily one of the most thoughtful, responsive, attentive, passionate, and helpful hosts we've ever had. She is simply amazing and the ideal host for traveling. She made wonderful recommendations, helped us make sense of exploring the area with the water buses and the challenging weather we had, and was incredibly helpful during a challenging travel day when our train was canceled. We can't say enough great things about her! The house and location were perfect. The view from the back patio and backyard is idyllic. You literally access the house from an old stone pathway, that also leads straight down to restaurants and the water taxi with a short couple-minute walk. The home and location felt very safe. There are nice restaurants in Carate Urio with a wine bar right by the water and a couple of convenient shops for food & drinks - all within a walk!

Our stay at this house was amazing!!!! Simona was so helpful and responsive prior and even left a great welcome basket for us, so appreciated. The house itself is immensely beautiful, peaceful and pristine. The views are priceless and we enjoyed it so so much. It’s close to all the destinations around lake como and plenty of great public transport even if you don’t have a car. We love it so much - thank you!!!!!
