Beautiful, tranquil, homely and Barbara was an amazing and attentive host. Dovecote was very rural in a farm setting, but with many walks on your doorstep. Dovecote gave us everything; cosy log fire, allowing you to enjoy the cottage, with a homemade dinner and a glass of wine. To sitting on the sun-trench decking absorbing the landscape. There must be something in the air as the calming cottage and its surroundings had us going from 100mph to a 20mph. Dovecote maybe very rural but if you have a car you get to Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Port Isaac very easily. Launceston is close by with a large Tescos and Lidl, so nothing is difficult. Dovecote offers you everything and Barbara is the perfect host with the most amazing property.

Idyllic.. stunning... romantic...a gorgeous setting in beautiful landscape that surpassed all expectations. The cottage was authentic and cosy with a roaring fire, comfy bed and beautiful bath, but its the un spoilt rural views that take your breath away, with cows, pigs and ducks that say Good Morning! Barbara and family welcomed you like you were part of the family and always on hand should you want or need anything. If you are looking for the ultimate R&R this is the place - We are refreshed and ready for 2024!

We just spent two days in Barbara and Richards fantastic cosy cottage. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived with fresh scones and a warm fire waiting for us. We had a great visit looking around parts of Cornwall and it was nice to come home to such lovely accommodation. Our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer, especially with the first snow of the season predicted. If you enjoy the peace and quiet of rural surroundings don’t miss this gem. I wish all hosts were as welcoming and friendly.
