The West House is worth every penny. The interior architecture is quite grand and the bathrooms are some of the best I've ever used - enormous showers and beautifully renovated. The heating and hot water system was easy to use and the house was warm. Samantha kindly accommodated our extra parking needs (no parking in the yard opposite as there are lovely horses in there now). The surroundings are stunning, quiet and picturesque, it is like being in an episode of the Vicar of Dibley. Samantha also responded very quickly when we needed more dishwasher tablets. On Samantha's recommendations that were sent as soon as we booked, we visited The George Inn in Croscombe which is a beautiful 15 minute walk and a very friendly pub with great food. We visited Hauser & Worth art complex which was stunning. The only minor disappointment was that there is no access to the huge lawn on the property but I believe this is stated in the listing.

We stayed at West House as a family/friend group, the house has a beautiful flow and is perfectly spacious for eight. We found the house peaceful, clean, and well equipped. The king bedrooms and en suites were a lovely decadent treat. The weather wasn't quite sunny enough to spend time outside, but the courtyard would be perfect for sundowners and a BBQ. Parking outside was easy and the local area is beautiful. Wells makes for a pleasant morning exploring with a coffee if you like your history and architecture. There are plenty of lovely walks and eateries to choose from. We had a lovely stay!

All enjoyed our stay very much. Would have liked some milk on arrival. Kitchen chairs were noisy on the kitchen floor and a bit uncomfortable when playing games at the table. Lighting in Living room very poor. However, overall West House was homely and comfortable. Thank you.
