We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hut and it was perfect, the weather was amazing and the host had thought of everything you might need. The location is beautiful, we had a great time. Would 100% recommend!

Had a lovely bank holiday gateway staying at Lou’s Shepard hut! The place had everything you needed from extra towels for the hot tub to cotton buds in the bathroom. It was the perfect escape from London for a few days, the place is so peaceful and private! I would also recommend going to the Wookey Hole and doing the cave climbing experience, it was incredible and only 8 mins drive from the place.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. It had everything we needed and more. It is so cosy and homely. Infact, we loved it so much that we cancelled a booking we had for a meal out on the Saturday so that we could stay in and cook in the hut instead! It was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. Communication from Lou was also great. We will definitely be back!

Just spent 2 nights away at the hut for my birthday with my partner, and have spent the last day wishing I could go back! The nicest place we’ve ever stayed: the hut itself is fully self functioning with absolutely everything you could need. Didn’t see even a speck of dust, the place was immaculate, as well as beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail. The hot tub was lovely and super easy to use! The location is amazing, feels so private and tucked away from the world. We visited Wells as per Lou’s guide book which gave us a heads up about market day which was lovely. Loved spending the afternoon outside the hut in the sunshine in such a peaceful pocket of the south west. Now that we are home we are missing it terribly - we would definitely stay again without question!

This is such a gem of a place. Lou has created a little paradise and decorated the shepherd hut so beautifully and tactfully. The little touches from complimentary eggs, coffee and milk, to cotton pads and cotton buds in the bathroom and on the dressing table added that extra level of comfort. The secluded location was fabulous as well and we really enjoyed sitting outside with a fire as well as enjoying the hot tub. Wonderful host and magical place, would highly recommend staying here.
