I am so thankful that we found René's cabin. The cabin was super cute! It was everything you would want in a lake house. Clean, comfy, and welcoming. René was a kind and lovely host - the communication was top-notch. One of the best hosts we've had the chance to stay with. The location was lovely. The view of the lake was breathtaking - you can't beat it. We enjoyed playing down by the lake and were really appreciative of the canoe, kayak, and SUP. We had the shore to ourselves the whole visit! We also enjoyed walking around in the mornings/evenings with our pup. One day we biked around the lake - that was a lot of fun. We went into Durango nearly everyday. It's maybe a 30 minute drive which wasn't bad. The location was perfectly placed, with so much to do at the lake and not far from town to grab a bite to eat or check out shops.

This cabin was just what we wanted- a small cabin in the woods with a beautiful view. The photos are accurate and the place is clean and well run. It's a bit rustic, but for me that was a feature. The view is great and there are lots of things to do nearby or you can just enjoy doing nothing. If you have any questions or needs, don't hesitate to contact René and the will do her best to take care of you.

This rustic cabin has a breathtaking view of Vallecito Reservoir. The large outside deck is a really nice space to spend time. The kitchen and the entire cabin for that matter, was nicely equipped and fully functional. All we had to bring was clothes and groceries! The beds were very comfortable too. We will definitely return to this cabin. Rene was very easy to deal with and incredibly responsive from the moment we booked, through checkout. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. On our first day, we caught a nice Rainbow Trout right off of the property. If you are looking for a rustic cabin in a peaceful setting, this is it.

Always enjoy our stay at the Cottage. The cabin is just like the pictures, very clean and well stocked. Rene is very helpful. She is very knowledgeable about the area.
