The house was in great condition, and the host was very quick to respond to any questions or issues brought up. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone

This location was great for the family! Nice private home, tons to do around the area and close to the food lion. Only thing we had trouble with was trash, there was only 2 cans for the 16 guests but other than that it was great.

The towel situation was pretty frustrating. There were not enough for all of us and we had to wash them several times throughout our stay. The floors were very dirty as well as the air vents. The air vents had so much dust caked on. The house itself is very lovely and we had a wonderful time there.

Although OBX is beautiful, there were some major issues with the house rented. First issue being cockroaches around the house. Every room a cockroach was seen and especially at night. When arrived the house was not cleaned at all. The shower heads had massive buildup of mildew and was entirely unsafe to shower in. Aside from that, nothing was dusted. Beds were missing pillows and blankets, the extra that was provided were very dirty with stains. Multiple doors in the house did not lock leaving us to worry throughout the night. When arrived the air conditioner was not working, however, Vacasa did fix that issue. One of the beds on the top floor collapsed in the middle of the night leaving us with one less bedroom. Although the family vacation was a great time I would not stay in another Vacasa rental due to mostly unsanitary conditions. Waiting to hear how Vacasa will rectify these issues currently.

While the house was wonderful, we did have some hiccups. Much like other reviews, there seemed to be a lack of communication. A week prior to our stay we reread all of the house details and sent a few questions over. One of which was asking about a highchair and pack and play to which they said they did not have. Both of which, were on the main floor. There was also a mention of no A/C on the top floor, but when we reached out about it to confirm, it seemed like they had no intention of letting us know other than buried deep in the house details. There were frequent stops by housekeeping and pool maintenance. We didn’t mind but it was concerning pulling up any day of our stay to see someone we didn’t know there. We all wore socks and shoes in the house our entire stay. There were lots of prickly things and our feet were black after the first day of being there. Most of the beds still had sand in them. Overall, a lovely time. The house was spacious and in a great location.
