Joy is the perfect hostess and full of wonderful recommendations of things to do in the local area. The accommodation is charming and very comfortable. Breakfast by the pool in the beautiful sunshine was a treat. Wonderful eggs provided by Joy’s hens was a lovely touch. Thank you Joy for a wonderful stay.

Like walking into a French Impressionist painting, Joy & Alex’s place is the ordinary made extraordinary in a spectacular French countryside setting. Not only have they created a calm bubble of day-to-day life, they are consummate hosts and experts on a far-reaching radius of the area… Would have paid more for the experience.

We arrived and wanted peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got. Lovely, peaceful, tranquill gardens and a small town five mins drive away for a small choice of bars and restaurants. We strolled around the town of Auberterre sur Dronne after dinner and had a nice circular walk from the Pigonnairre the following night. Just what we needed after a full on week beforehand. Joy's place was an excellent 'pit stop' en route to the South of France.

What a wonderful find! The room was so pretty and as a BnB it was perfect. We had to vacate during the day but it meant we were able to explore the area and attend a wedding while we were there. Joy was an exceptional host and we strongly recommend a stay

Really beautiful and quiet setting surrounded by countryside and wildlife. We loved the pigeoneer, really cosy but still maintaining its rustic charm and old features. Joy was a really thoughtful host, thinking ahead for us about reservations etc for dinner and helping us think of day trip options. Loved our breakfast on the terrace also overlooking the beautiful garden. Highly recommend, thank you.
