Facts about the apartment: - Rather spacious even with kids. - It’s not new but well kept. - Well equipped kitchen. - Clean on arrival. - Located on the top ground of the resort (furthest away from the pool (2-3 min. walk) and beach (5 min walk). - Very nice view (the pictures does not lie). - Having visited with 3 small children I wouldn’t label the apartment as child friendly. Lot of white furniture, glass vases, seashell trinkets etc… Facts about the resort: - Well maintained especially by the gardeners. - Friendly staff. - Rather quiet when visiting first half of October. Only about 1/5 of the apartments in use. Not hard to get a good spot at the pool. - You’ll probably need a set of wheels. Closest supermarket is about 1.5-2.0 km away, and downtown Golfo Aranci with restaurants and shops even further. - Has a crazy garbage system. Coming from a city where we have to divide our garbage in 6 components I’m still mystified abort the S’abba’s garbage system. Instead of organizing a garbage room with big containers into which people can put their waste when they please, S’abba has design a system where every household/apartment has to bring one specific type of waste Monday, another Thursday, and so on. Always between 17.00 and 06.00. Result overfilled containers at the apartments including rodent problems (see below). Our experience: Overall, we had a wonderful time in Sardinia. Visiting Sardinia first half part of October turned out to be very nice – rather like a Scandinavian summer behaving nicely (not like 2018 though). Most days were suitable for pool/beach activities. Weather was a bit on the humid side with occasional showers and with mid-level mosquito and bee annoyances. Best of all we avoided the high season crowds. I don’t imagine many high-season visitors have experienced to share the whole of Spiaggia Bianca with only 3-4 other families. On the down side don’t expect all beach bars, restaurants and historical sights to be open by mid-October. He closest beach, Spiaggia di baia Carddinas, has an active beach bar and restaurant during our visit.
