My wife and I and two friends stayed for 3 nights and had the most wonderful stay. Anna and initially Harriet were warm and welcoming hosts and the barn exceeded expectations. It is extremely well furnished accommodation and we will be booking again contacting Anna direct at Northfield Lodge.

Unlike a lot of listings on here, this lived up to expectations with no faults. Anna is a superb host who is available and unobtrusively present. The accommodation is spacious and clean, with outstanding views and quiet atmosphere. An easy place to relax. Located conveniently for the east coast, York and beyond. Great walking routes on your doorstep. Very private and very quiet. Wold’s Inn does great food at a good price which supplements Anna’s pizza and self catering options. What could be better than a quiet location with a hot tub overlooking rolling hills with a chorus of birdsong! Awesome venue

Anna is een heel aangename gastvrouw. Behulpzaam en discreet. Het huis is prachtig gelegen en geeft uit op een zeer mooie tuin. Alle kamers beschikken over goede ruime bedden een mooie badkamer. De keuken is gerieflijk ingericht. Het heerlijke terras met weidse zichten en de jacuzzi maken het helemaal af. De ideale uitvalsbasis om NO Yorkshire te ontdekken!

Perfect place to chill out for a long weekend. Relaxed atmosphere in a wonderful historic building. The outlook on to the beautiful gardens is made even better with the first rate hot tub. Anna made the stay welcoming and hassle free, would recommend to anyone with a family or group of friends.
