A fantastic location in a beautiful cabin. We had a great time cut off in nature. Went on lots of walks, Lake Fenton is near by and quite pretty. It got pretty chilly, but the fireplace worked good, and the bedroom heaters were surprisingly warm. Only real downside, we had a large pickup truck and found it difficult getting out of the driveway, honestly not sure how you could park two cars without just reversing out most of the way

This house is perfect and in such a beautiful location. The house was extremely clean and has everything you need and more. They were thoughtful with giving us a bottle of wine, and extremely helpful when we needed assistance. It is peaceful, remote, and very special place, like it says, it is the perfect place to relax, unwind, disconnect from your phone (literally) and connect with eachother and with nature. We would definitely come back here!

Jemez Springs cabin is a beautiful setting for a quiet, relaxing time. It is somewhat remote. Not close to any restaurants or “action” if that’s what you’re looking for. We spent a lot of time in Valles Caldera and at Bandelier National Monument. We toured Los Alamos while there. The cabin was a nice place to return to after a long day. Easily accommodated our two couples, and the layout with a well-stocked kitchen made it fun to prepare meals while chatting with others in the living room. The kitchen was very well stocked with coffee maker, pots, pans and some spices, sugar and oil as well. Oven worked great, as did the stove and dishwasher. Brita water pitcher in the fridge. There were plenty of cleaning supplies available and a full size washer and dryer. The mattresses were great, plenty of towels, and we never ran out of hot water for showers. The rain made lovely sounds pattering on the tin roof. We spent a lot of our time on the big porch, overlooking the little stream and talking with each other. The fireplace worked beautifully to warm the cabin and there was plenty of seasoned wood. There was a big TV with movie players attached and lots of good selection of movies, but we didn’t use any screen time. Tons of games in that cabinet, too. There was a miscommunication with the cleaning crew prior to our arrival, but our host immediately and very graciously took care of the mixup, when we were back in a place where we could notify him. The cabin does have a land line, but our issues didn’t seem to be an emergency and I was not sure of the long distance charge, if any, so did not use it. I would recommend this cabin if you’re wanting remoteness and to really get away from cell and wifi service. And the host was extremely responsive, which we appreciated.

The perfect place to unplug and explore nature. Gerard was a great host and very responsive. We really enjoyed hiking the nearby trails, exploring the Jemez falls nearby and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen every night. We haven’t slept this well in a while. Maybe it’s a mixture of being out in nature and the super comfortable bedding, but it was a perfect recipe for some much-needed relaxation! Would definitely return.
