Absolutely loved this place! a great place if you are visiting with your pet. Sribadam is a picturesque hamlet and Eshab's homestay is the perfect homestay there. Great food at their restaurant Ara, amazing hospitality and very warm folks. We did the guided local village trek up to the waterfall with our dog which was our highlight. The rooms and linens were spotless and the bathroom very clean. Don't miss the traditional hot stone bath Menchu at the place. Wolfie the resident doggo and his buddies are always there to welcome. If you are planning to explore south or west Sikkim, Sribadam is the place to go and you cannot stay anywhere except this homestay.
Awesome hosts with really comforting homemade food with local ingredients. The quiet environment with fresh air and open surroundings was amazing. The Himalayan trout was a treat. The local hike routes through farming villages and pine forest was really pleasant. Local guides are available through the host as well. If visiting in April the rhododendron will be in full bloom and definitely try the local homemade rhododendron wine.
Eshab homestay is a beautiful homestay located in West Sikkim. We stayed at Eshab homestay for more than a week. There are plenty of things to do during your stay. Visit the monestries, Trek to the nearby pine forests and waterfalls. Walk to the nearby village Daythang, Walk to the nearby village Remidham to get a glimpse of the mighty Kanchenjunga. Take a reserved taxi to visit Peling and Singshore bridge or simply relax and read a book. The huts at Eshab homestay have been thoughtfully constructed to represent the local Bhutia, Lepcha and Nepali community. The food at Eshab is spectacular. Cook Rohit does an excellent job at cooking. With every meal we would get a taste of the local cuisine. Eshab is also coming up with a beautifully designed restaurant. I am sure it will be hit. We had a great time.
