Well maintained, the original home was built in 1905, the same year the historic Stephens County courthouse was constructed. Well preserved over the years, with major additions as recently as 2010, the home now includes three bedrooms, two baths, parlor/TV room, library/office, large country kitchen open to the adjacent dining and sun rooms, and laundry. 11’ ceilings throughout! Sleeps up to six (6). Walking distance to historic downtown Toccoa. A short drive to area events. You’re home! ‘In Town Country’ includes the (3000 +/- sq ft ) home fronting on East Tugalo Street. The ‘Toccoa Guesthouse’ is a separate listing, and is adjacent to this home connecting via covered breezeway to the rear of this home. Parking, breezeway and exterior spaces may be shared by guests of both listings. ‘In Town Country’ was built in 1905 with extensive additions and renovations over time. Care was taken to maintain the 11’ ceilings, overall ‘shotgun’ layout and hometown feel of the property. You’ll enjoy the privacy within & without and the large rocking chair front porch!

I can’t believe what a good value this space was. Gorgeous home inside and out and highly affordable. I booked this for a young actress on a film I was producing in the area, and she fell in love with it. Felt like getting special treatment for sure!

Located in the historic downtown district, this was an absolutely charming property! We were in town for a wedding and it was very convenient to Flat Rock Farm events venue. The hosts provided snacks, drinks and for personal needs (nail file!) which really elevated our experience. They were also easy to reach for questions. The breezeway was definitely a highlight of the property. It was so pleasant for coffee in the morning! The beds were comfy, towels and linens very nice, and everything was SO CLEAN!! I hope we have reason to visit Toccoa again so we can stay at this property. It is outstanding!

Take a right out the front door and you’ll find we are a very short few blocks to historic downtown Toccoa, Ga. There you’ll find restaurants, antiques, shopping, hairstylists, the historic downtown courthouse, historic railroad depot, Chamber of Commerce, military and local museum, and more. You’ll find the neighbors friendly and willing to share a ‘hello’ as they stroll by on the well utilized sidewalk.
Turn left and up the sidewalk past the First Baptist Church and you’ll find a quaint park dedicated to Paul Anderson, Olympian and world weight lifting record holder. In front of the park East Tugalo converges seamlessly with Big A Road, taking you to fast food restaurants, exercise facilities, shopping, grocery stores, gas stations, and so on. You’ll find the Little League fields and Rose Lane Rec Center in this direction.
There are numerous parks, hiking trails, waterfalls, Lake Hartwell, Currahee Mountain (Band of Brothers?), Toccoa Falls College, Lake Toccoa, the Pines Golf Course and much more in the area.
