Lake Kerr is well known as a freshwater lake with great swimming, boating and fishing. Come and visit the multiple natural springs in the area or just relax around the campfire and enjoy S'mores! This pet friendly home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths with spacious living room with smart TV. Smart TV and workspace in Master Suite. All windows and doors have blinds to ensure privacy. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking for the whole gang! Ample dining room seating. Beautiful yard gazebo with water and forest views and netting to protect from bugs! Gas grill in yard with complimentary propane. Large firepit with plenty of seating. Firewood is available for use. 3 complimentary Kayaks available for use. Dock is under construction, but boats can easily tie off in canal. House is non-smoking but you may responsibly smoke outside. While we have a sand beach on the water, swimming in the canal is not allowed at this time. Your host, Kathy lives next door with her 2 potbellied pigs, Marlie and Olivia (Ollie). I will act as your personal concierge to make sure your stay is truly memorable, or I can give you full privacy, whichever you prefer. Our piggie girls stay in their pen during the day and in the house at night, so they are contained. Yes, you can feed the pigs with permission! Property is 2 miles from forest ATV trailhead with access to over 200 miles of trails. Florida Scenic hiking trail within 1 mile. I highly recommend The Yearling Trail which is named after the book/movie of the same name. The book was based on this area of the Ocala National Forest. We have an island on Lake Kerr that is accessible only by boat. This is where the locals go to swim. You can easily beach your boat there. It has a gradual sand beach that is great for kids, adults and dogs as well. There is enough land there as well. You can use our portable grill and have a cookout and make a day of it. It is one of our favorite summer activities! Our pig Ollie loves it there! The manatees come to Salt Springs each winter for warmer water temperatures.
