Blacksmiths Cottages is a peaceful and picturesque hidden gem comprising 3 luxury, newly renovated, holiday cottages. We are based in a village called Muston, just 1 mile inland from Filey. Muston is a friendly village lined with pretty cottages with a welcoming pub and on a bus route. We are ideally located for visiting our beautiful coastline, sightseeing special places like York, Helmsley and Malton or visiting our theme parks and stately homes including Castle Howard. Blacksmiths Cottage is a luxury 2 bedroom property with a cosy fireplace and underfloor heating. It sleeps 5. There are 2 bedrooms, one bedroom has twin beds and the other has one king size bed with a single foldaway bed available if required. The bathroom has the ‘wow’ factor with a roll top bath and separate shower. Downstairs, the kitchen is well equipped and furnished with Miele appliances including a dishwasher. There is a separate dining room with reading nook and an open fireplace that serves the living and dining room. The spacious living room finishes off the downstairs floor. Outside is a patio and small garden.

Absolutely beautiful cottage. Very modern, would highly recommend for a luxury peaceful break in the countryside and close to a number of coastal resorts. Really enjoyed the stay.

Without doubt one of the best properties we have booked. Georgie and Mark are great hosts and catered not only for us, but our two dogs too. The house was spotless, as described with high quality fit and finish as well as high end Miele cooker and dishwasher. Stone floors on the ground floor with a multi room log burner and underfloor heating. Decent size and private, outside space with patio and furniture as well as a small lawn. Upstairs a beautifully appointed bathroom with both a bath and a walk in shower. Two bedrooms with a large master and a second a reasonable twin. 10 minutes drive to Filey Beach or a 35 minute walk. Cayton Bay Beach 15 minutes and Scarborough approximately 30 minutes. Lots to see and do in the local area. Special mention to the Ship Inn less than 2 minutes walk away. Small and eclectic free house with good food and great hosts. We will be back!
Had a fantastic stay at this absolutely beautiful cottage. One of the best Air BnB experiences ever. The property is beautifully thought out and tastefully decorated with everything there for a comfortable stay. We had two pooches with us and boy were they made to feel welcome too with biscuits, blankets, bowls and beds. Just because you have dogs doesn’t mean you want to compromise on quality and the hosts are clearly dog lovers and owners too. Everything from the gorgeous kitchen, beautiful bathroom and comfortable bedrooms has been so well thought out. It’s also so close to lovely Filey and all the beautiful nearby coastline spots. We had a tiny issue that was sorted within the hour and the hosts were so brilliant I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage. Five star first class stay, thankyou Georgie and Mark xx

Blacksmiths Cottages is based in the picturesque village of Muston just one mile from Filey on the East Yorkshire coast. We recommend staying a while and using our lovely accommodation as a base to explore Yorkshire and all its treasures.
Our location cannot be beaten. If you are a walker, the Cleveland Way and Yorkshire Wolds Way begin and end in Filey. We have award-winning beaches, stately homes, beautiful scenery, theme parks and over 8,000 acres of woodland. Something for everyone.
