North Brewham · 农家乐 · 2室3床1.5卫 · 可住4人 · Owl's Moving Kaleidofloat
This Studio Ghibli inspired structure is an upcycled wonder. The Kaleidofloat features a 4 seat cinema, proper beds for 4, kitchen, 4 dining areas and its own veg patch. It has many past lives. - a sturdy bale trailer that travelled the Somerset carnival circuit in the 2010's - Crane 29 which rises high above Bristol Harbor and was transformed into a city guest pad in summer 2017 - a local dutch barn. It sits at the top of a rolling 12 acre meadow with stunning views along the Brue Valley. This is a generously sized house on wheels decorated with a love of all things creative, re-purposed and illusionary. There are many surprises to discover. The living space comprises a cosy wood burner, dining area for 4, kitchen with 2 gas hobs, undercounter fridge, large sink and plenty of food preparation surfaces and cupboards. The Eschower, a private hot water shower, pays tribute to master illusionist MC Escher and stands in the corner. Upstairs is the Sky Bedroom with king sized bed, full domed rooftop window to view blue skies, passing fluffy clouds or the constellations as you relax in bed. The bunk room, which was the tale-gate where carnival dancers performed, is decorated as Howl's bedroom in Howl's Moving Castle with porthole windows and individual lighting. The top bunk requires an adept climb up the stable ladder. The minimum age is 10 for all guests staying in the Kaleidofloat. Just off the living room is the cinema with 4 seats and 150 films of all genres are provided for your enjoyment. There is a large decking for outdoor dining, a fire pit for BBQ's and evenings out around the fire. The loo is down the decking steps, just 10 steps to a heated building next to the parking area. There are 2 raised vegetable beds with salad and other vegetables for guests to pick fresh during their stay (not ready just yet sorry!) as well as fruit bushes and a small polytunnel with sofa, table and armchairs which will have tomatoes, salad and cucumbers for guests to pick and enjoy this summer. The Kaleidofloat is at the top of a 12 acre meadow where deer, buzzards, barn owls and many other creatures as well as the woodlands of the Stourhead estate can be admired. It sits alongside a rural road where traffic fluctuates from very quiet to a little busier on local agricultural days.
Had a great stay, this is such a beautiful truly unique place. We loved the cinema room and the seating area in the polytunnel! the beds were extremely comfy and the shower was great, in a gorgeous area too. Couldn’t fault it 😊
Absolutely incredible location, such a special cabin. Peaceful and quiet, beautiful views, even better than the photos. Thank you Samatha for sharing this incredibly experience with us. Come back soon!
We had a lovely stay with our twin boys who spent most of their time indoors in the wonderful bunkbeds! Beautifully decorated and well-equipped, and lots to do in the local area.
Myself , my partner and my daughter spent a few days in this fantastic little place… the calm and the quiet surrounding really had us relaxed and entertained at the same time. We cannot recommend this place highly enough 👌 We had the fire going in the evening and felt really cosy, put a film on in the best little cinema ever and then went to bed watching the stars ✨ Will be back here again without a doubt. Samantha and Guy were so very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble … thank you so much for making the floating kaleidoscope and sharing it 😊

Hi there! Stir a sideways chunk of curiosity into a generous swirl of creativity and sprinkle with avid fervor of an exact measure of unprecise perfection and leave to percolate in a passion for life pot of 'anything anywhere' and hey presto, the magic is here. That's just one way of putting it.
