My brother and I had a wonderful time at the house. It was close the the Redwood hwy and we spent most of our time only driving 30 minutes away if needed. So close to a lot of sights and trails. The house was super clean when we arrived. You could hear the flowing creek along the property. The area was perfect for families with dogs. So glad that we stayed hear while we were traveling in the area. We visited John B. Dewitt Redwoods State Natural Reserve and it is so close to house.

What a lovely place. Surrounded by redwoods and the flowing creek, it was exactly what we needed for a private weekend getaway with the dogs and kid. The house itself was beautiful and clean. We spent a lot of time making meals in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the heated floors and hot tub. The host was very accommodating and we felt welcomed. Susan left helpful tips around the house that made our stay go smoothly. We’d love to visit again.

We loved our stay at Susan’s gorgeous home among the redwoods. The property itself is amazing, very private and well fenced in. Although our dogs never wandered too far, it was nice letting them explore the property without worry. The stream bounding the far end of the property is beautiful and clear, we should have brought our fishing poles! House is spacious, well-stocked, and was perfect for 2 dogs and a devious 1 year old baby. It is true to photos (if not better), and Susan kindly left a dog bed out for us. It’s a 30min drive from Shelter Cove and 1hr drive from Ferndale. Just a 2min drive down the road there is a State Redwood reserve as well! There is a grocery store just 5min away in Redway which was also very convenient. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for a weekend getaway with my family. fantastic spot! So peaceful and close to many great outdoor activities/attractions. Will definitely stay again!
