Welcome to "Altitude Adjustment," located in the Taos Pines Ranch community on the outskirts of Angel Fire, NM. Whether you're here for skiing, mountain biking, or just to relax in the mountains, this is just the place for a little extra dose of solitude. Nestled on a 15-acre lot at 8,800 feet, this home is flush with forest views, and all of the sleek modern touches you love. Featuring a great layout and gorgeous decor, all just 15 minutes from the Angel Fire Resort with golf, skiing and more. Altitude adjustment is a majestic modern escape offering the true mountain experience. If you crave tranquility and the solitude of being miles away from anyone else, this is the perfect retreat for you. On top of the breathtaking views, this home features radiant heat flooring throughout, a newly renovated open floor plan, multiple living spaces with woodstoves, sprawling decks, and so many beautiful details to discover in every room. The house has 3 full bathrooms, and comfortably sleeps 10 (or up to 12) across the 2 bedrooms and the lower-level studio space. The studio can sleep 4-6 depending on how many you sleep per bed. At Mountain Serenity Rentals, we believe you deserve all the things you need for a great stay, and don’t want to nickle and dime you for them. Our homes are stocked with firewood for fireplaces and fire pits, propane for gas grills, detergent for laundry machines, and all the basics for kitchens and bathrooms, from coffee pots to hair dryers! We've thought of it all! If you are ever missing something during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out! BEDROOMS/SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS/BATHROOMS: The top floor is home to the main suite, with a king bed, ensuite bathroom, smart TV, and soaking tub overlooking the forest. The whole house has radiant heat flooring, great for fighting the winter chill. On this floor, you will also find a double queen bedroom that shares a full bathroom with the main living space and also has a smart TV. The lower level functions as a studio apartment with a set of full over full bunks in the living space, and a bunkroom with a set of twin bunks. There is also a full bathroom on this floor with a combination tub/shower. If you would like to sleep 2 per bed in the full over full bunks, this would bring the sleep count up to 12. Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap. LIVING AREAS: The main living space on the upper level offers a stunning open floor plan, allowing everyone to share time together. Whether you're relaxing by the woodstove, preparing a delicious meal in the well-appointed kitchen, or sharing stories with loved ones, the forest serves as your ever-present backdrop. The main living space flows out onto the sprawling upper deck with its own eating space to enjoy in the warmer months. On the lower level, you will find another luxurious living space with room to cozy up together or split the group up. The lower-level living room also features a woodstove, dining space, and a beautiful deck of its own. Each living room is equipped with a Smart TV for catching a game or having a movie night together. KITCHEN/DINING: Creating great memories is at the heart of everything we do, and what better way than cooking and enjoying meals together? Our home is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to make mealtime a special occasion during your stay. Our kitchen features a full set of appliances, stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, coffee makers (regular and Keurig), blender, and crockpot. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. For dining on the main level, there is a dining table with seats for six, as well as space for five at the kitchen bar. You can also take your meal outside to the upper deck, where you will find a table with benches for 6, or to the lower deck where there are two picnic tables. In the lower level studio, there is an additional dining space with chairs for six. ENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS: Step outside your door, and the forest becomes your playground, the outdoor decks, an extension of your living room. Take a morning coffee or evening cocktail out to the deck to enjoy and soak in the forest views, or take it up a notch and go exploring! The house sits on a 15-acre parcel that is yours to enjoy! Lace-up your boots and make your own hiking trails, or hop on your mountain bike and enjoy the property and surrounding roads. ATVs are allowed on the winding mountain roads surrounding, and in the winter, the property is wonderful for snowshoeing and sledding (but hunting and discharge of firearms are not allowed). You're also just a 15-20-minute drive to Angel Fire, where you can downhill ski and mountain bike, golf at the country club, or fish at Monte Verde Lake. ENTERTAINMENT INDOORS: When you're done exploring the forest surrounding the house, or tired from a day on the slopes, come on inside and relax. With woodstoves and smart TVs on each floor, the living space in this home can't be beat. Curl up and watch something all together, or split into adults and kids without anyone having to sacrifice comfort. Play a game together at the dining table, or retreat to your bedrooms to enjoy your Smart TVs in private. There is plenty to do without even going outdoors! ENTRYWAY/LAUNDRY: Enter the house through the garage on the lower level. Our smart locks allow you to let yourself in when you arrive without the hassle of keys. Inside the entry, you'll find the mudroom with hooks for coats and boot trays for muddy shoes. This room also serves as the laundry room, with a washer and dryer and space to lay out wet clothes on top. To help you out, we provide detergent and dryer sheets. PARKING: The 3-car garage is available for use to keep you out of the snow in the winter and dust in the summer. The garage has outlets to plug in your RV or your EV vehicle (you just need to bring your own adapter). Additionally, the large parking pad and driveway in front provides ample space for several vehicles. Due to the location of the property, 4WD vehicles are required in the winter.
