River cottage is the perfect little place to get away from everything..perfect place for couples or friends who want a secluded cottage to unwind. The pictures don't do it justice. Tucked away near the river, the place gives you sounds of birds and a lone colobus monkey. Sitting in a little farm set up, a little stroll will show you the little projects going in..including a little beautiful secluded succulent garden. The cottage is nice and open which helps with bonding for those staying there, a homely feeling in the evening. An evening walk around the grounds will make up fall in love with what is being done. WiFi is strong for those who plan to put in a little work while at the cottage.. Host Dion was always available, from communication and directions to a seamless check in/checkout and even in providing a bbq grill on short notice :) The resident dogs will visit once in a while, a little shy but well behaved and friendly furbabies. Definitely a place to come back to!

We're honestly at a loss for words to describe our phenomenal stay. To begin with, Dion is an exceptional host. From the onset, his communication was detailed and prompt. Given the cottage's tucked-away location, the meticulous directions he provided were invaluable and spot-on. His warm welcome, complemented by insightful tips, set the tone for our memorable stay. Nestled within a farm and perched right beside the river, it offers the ideal sanctuary for those looking to truly unplug. And oh, the endearing dogs! They left an indelible mark on our hearts. This haven is perfectly suited for individuals or couples who appreciate solitude, be it a rejuvenating escape or a serene workspace. Between tranquil moments by the river and leisurely strolls through the farm and adjacent small forest, there's no shortage of ways to connect with nature. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended for the off-road stretch From two introverts who deeply value peace and privacy: this place is a gem!
