We rented a beautiful older home to house our families of 5 adults & 3 children for wedding weekend. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms & 1 shower. Not adequate mirrors or curtains . Felt like we were the entertainment for Main Street traffic which is loud. Dust bunnies & pizza crusts in kitchen drawers. Not clean! Arrived on Thursday. Commercial garbage container by back door overflowing & smelly. Notified host. When we left Sun morning, garbage can still sitting, now flies & heavy duty stench (warm days!) We were forced to leave our few bags of garbage in laundry room. Host did come & replace severely stained & unclean bed sheets after we sent pics. Attempted to offer “feedback” to host Jared. Obviously his employees did not clean as should have-no accountability or acceptance of his responsibility . He told me I was “rude” & I should give him “grace”. I could have demanded a refund, but I didn’t. We would never recommend this as a place to stay to family or friends. Go Jared!

This house is beautiful, old and charming. Great size if you have a large family. Beds and linens were comfortable. Our host Jared was quick to respond when we had a question or issue. I messaged him after checkout to let him know of some cleanliness issues and some areas that needed updating or repair. He responded that he would notify the housekeeper and maintenance. All the windows are covered with sheer curtains and three of the four bedrooms face the front of the house so there is a lot of light pollution at night when you’re trying to sleep. You cannot change clothes in the bedroom unless you want a street view. A floor length mirror would be nice and a better stocked kitchen for the size of the rental. If I need a rental in this area again, I would book this house again in hopes a few things are updated/repaired and cleaned.

The home itself is BEAUTIFUL and the location was great, right in the middle of Thomaston. There were televisions in every room and the beds slept really well. Overall, it met our needs while attending a family wedding.

We had a very nice stay. The kitchen could be better equipped if you plan to cook there. I have to agree with others reviewers who said a shower downstairs instead of a tub would be a great improvement to the house. Eight of us stayed for 6 nights and it was inconvenient sharing one shower. The house has large rooms with tall ceilings. It was a grand place built in the early 1900s. Jared, our host, was very nice and responded quickly.
