Conveniently located, incredibly accessible, the only thing you need to plan is where you'll go and what you'll wear there. Stay the week or the weekend. This basement-turned-apartment space can serve as a homebase for nights out-on-the-town or a landing spot for business trippers. Privacy: self-check-in, private entrance and your own driveway. Quiet neighborhood, great for remote work. 3 lights to Georgetown; then 2 more exits to the Pentagon. Uber/Lyft rides no more than a 5 min. wait. The apartment entry room is separate from the main apartment. One enters into a nook dining area, seats 4, and a galley kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils and place settings. A four burner cook-top (no oven) refridgerator and sink. The bathroom’s shower includes a “rain head” and hand held sprayer. The washer and dryer are located in the bathroom. The bathroom also connects to the 1 bedroom which has a queensize bed (sleeps two). The bedroom then leads into the TV room which has a single-bed size fold-out couch and a recliner. The staircase leads to the Hosts home. The door is locked and there is a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs.

It met our needs. It was a lovely quiet area,just like she said.
Great place near the bike path as we were travelling by bicycle. Able to securely park our bikes inside. Lots of room and very clean. Nice little patio to enjoy as well. Having laundry was a nice touch. Sometimes we heard noise upstairs but overall it was very quiet and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The place was somewhat dark as there is only one small window but we didn’t spend many daylight hours inside anyway. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay.
Thank you. We enjoyed our stay. Hosts went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. The shower handle needs to be glued back on. Towel hanger needs replaced in the bathroom, and an outlet in the bathroom would be welcome by future visitors. Light sleepers need to be aware there is some noise from people walking on the floor above. All in all, I would nevertheless, recommend this home highly. For DC digs, the price really couldn’t be beat.
Alice’s place is located in a beautiful neighbourhood, is well-equipped, very clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had a lovely stay, and would highly recommend it.
We were satisfied with our stay particularly since it is located across the street from my son’s house. We didn’t spend much time at Alice’s home but it suited our needs very well.

A quiet residential neighborhood, with ample street parking besides your own driveway. North Oakland Street is sandwiched between two main streets, Lorcom Lane and Nelly Custis Drive, which get you to Washington, DC in minutes.
Most directions do not include the fact that Arlington has about 4 different “Oakland streets” which are not connected. It is important to note that You Oyster, 2354 N Oakland Street is off of Lorcom Lane.
Besides having the private driveway to park your vehicle, there is ample street parking with no restrictions. Bikes and bike paths are literally less than a mile away.
At the end of Oakland Street, three streets to the left is North Kenmore Street, which is a cul-de-sac, leads to "Windy Run Park". Trail leading to Potomac River, fun walk about 10 mins away.
As well, you will have access to shopping and a plethora of eating establishments, in strip malls, less than also less than a mile away going either left or right at the end of the street.
