This stylish home is perfect for families, groups of friends and kids. The retro, Scandinavian inspired spaces are thoughtfully arranged with 4 bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms and large open-plan downstairs that’s been recently renovated including a play room. Owned by two locals, the space is perfectly positioned for those wishing to experience the vibrant culture of the city and beach, as well as those seeking a more relaxed break/ adventures on the South Downs. Additionally, parking is FREE! Suitable for 6 Adults/Children and 1 child + 2 infants. Welcome to our home in Dale Crescent, where the spacious, retro-inspired décor creates a relaxing ambiance just perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring Brighton and the South Downs. Multiple windows flood the house with natural light, creating a bright and airy feel with great views into the garden and local area. There are four spacious bedrooms including the master suite which has its own lounge/dining area and kitchenette. We also boast about the 8ft bed in one of the other spacious bedrooms on the first floor - what more could you want?! The beds are unbelievably comfy and we use 100% cotton bedding which is always freshly washed. The space is suitable for both families and friends. YOUR STAY INCLUDES: - Breakfast - High speed WiFi - 24/7 check-in - Smart TV x2 - Baby and kids' toys/equipment PARKING: On-street parking is FREE (a rarity in Brighton!) KITCHEN: The entire ground floor is open plan. With a relaxing view into the garden, the bright and airy kitchen is newly renovated. It is fully equipped and includes a large fridge/freezer, full size dishwasher, microwave, breakfast area, Quooker tap for boiling water, four slice toaster, glassware, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, salt/pepper/oil etc. There is a five ring induction hob. LOUNGE: The mid-century Scandinavian-inspired lounge area houses two sofas and two armchairs, seating eight adults comfortably. There is a smart TV above the classic log burner. The Totter & Tumble playmat, made from sumptuous memory foam, is super comfortable to walk over and a real blessing for the knees if you're sitting down to play with the kids! DINING AREA: A large 2m solid oak table with curved edges provides ample seating for all guests. Sun floods into this space during the late afternoons/evenings creating a beautiful space to eat together or play games in the evening. We have two high chairs available for little guests if needed. PLAY ROOM: Adjoined to the kitchen/dining/living area this space has lots of toys and games for kids. FIRST FLOOR BEDROOMS: - Bedroom 1- one 8ft bed (including designated space in the wardrobe for your clothes/belongings) - Bedroom 2- two cots and a single bed (including designated space in the wardrobe for clothes) - Bedroom 3- one king bed or a single if preferred (including floor space but no wardrobe space) FIRST FLOOR BATHROOM: The main bathroom boasts a fully equipped modern suite, bath tub and rainfall shower with separate shower head for rinsing. A basalt stone sink creates a natural feel alongside the smart slate tiled wall/floor. We have installed ambient lighting under the bathtub and in the shower, giving you the option of some fun (a disco setting is available!) or a neutral tone for morning/evening mood lighting. There is also a pin light by the toilet that remains on throughout the night so kids and adults can easily access the bathroom without needing to turn on any main lights. SECOND FLOOR BEDROOM: The second floor bedroom is a spacious and peaceful master suite containing a dining/living/kitchenette space and a designated workspace. There is lots of head height as well as glorious views through the three Velux windows, which can be twisted to create an inside out feel. (We rent this room alone out via airb&b/booking all year round but have ensured the dates are blocked when the entire house is booked). SECOND FLOOR BATHROOM: Another modern bathroom awaits with a powerful shower, just perfect for warming up after a blustery walk along the seafront. UTILITY: There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available to use, detergent included. GARDEN: There are front and back gardens which guests are welcome to use. A glass of wine (from our honesty shop) in the sun-filled garden is ideal for those warm balmy evenings. There is a small pond in the back garden too. We are yet to landscape the garden, therefore it is looking a little dry from all the sun we've had recently and the side walk is a little cluttered from the renovation project, but still perfectly usable. TRANSPORT AND COMMUTER LINKS: The bus stop is a one minute walk away. Brighton beach/the city centre/the Laines are all a 20 minute bus journey away. The bus costs £6 for an all day pass or you can use your contactless tap and pay. Much cheaper than parking your car! The airb&b is a short taxi or bus ride from Brighton Station, where London Victoria, Kings Cross and London Bridge can all be reached directly in just over an hour. A dedicated and quiet workspace is provided in the second floor master suite for professional guests. AMENITIES: - Travel cot and high chair - Hairdryer - Toiletries (TRESemme shampoo/conditioner and body wash) - Fresh milk in the fridge on arrival - Selection of simple breakfast options - Honesty shop available throughout your stay NEARBY: - Local supermarket and cafés (two minute walk) - ASDA supermarket (three minute drive) - University of Sussex/Falmer (seven minute drive) - Park and playground (seven minute walk) - Seafront (20 minute bus ride) - Brighton Station (20 minute bus ride) - Churchill Shopping Centre (20-25 minute bus ride) - i360 viewing tower (20 minute bus ride and walk along seafront) COVID-19 CLEANING POLICY: We deep clean and disinfect the apartment fully between every stay as standard procedure.
Lena was a brilliant host, very helpful and responsive to all questions we had prior to our stay. On the day of check in she messaged with clear check in instructions and helpful information about the property and recommended things to do. The home was exactly as shown in the photos, spacious and clean. There were a lot of additional amenities such as shower products in the bathroom to use which was a bonus. The property is only a short bus ride away from Brighton pier and Lena provided clear directions of how to get to the bus stop. We had a brilliant time, would definitely recommend!
Situated on a residential road just 20 mins from the city centre by bus (1 min walk away). The neighborhood itself is generally quiet yet is still perfectly situated between The Sussex Downs and Brighton Beach and has shops, restaurants and cafes all in walking distance.
