Each of the four bedrooms face the ocean and the elevated position catches all the breeze from the beachfront. The six acre private garden provides privacy and a haven for birds and wildlife. Our house offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, surrounded by swaying palm trees that provide a stunning vista. For those seeking peace and privacy, our location is perfect. Samawati beach is a four-kilometer stretch of pristine sand, with just a handful of houses along its coastline. This means that you can relax and unwind in complete seclusion, without the crowds. One of the highlights of staying with us is the chance to experience the daily rhythms of local life. The neighboring communities have lived in harmony with the sea for generations, and you can witness these traditional ways firsthand. Our house is conveniently located just half an hour from Diani, one of Kenya's most popular tourist destinations. This means that you can easily explore Diani's vibrant culture, restaurants, and attractions while still enjoying the tranquility of our secluded beach retreat. Room 1 - Twin Room 2 - Twin Room3 - Queen Room 4 - Twin Please note twin beds can easily be pushed together if needed. On the same property, there is Chingwede House which also accommodates 8 guests. Both houses have their own private pools and beach access totally separate from the other house. These two houses are perfect to rent together for larger groups.

We had a lovely stay at Susan's House. The house is super spacious , we were two families with 3 children (aged 7-8-11) and a 15 months old baby, and the layout was just perfect for both family's needs. The design of the house is really beautiful. The pool is great size, sea is just below the property. We loved waking up the sound of the waves. The house staff is great, very attentive. The night watchman even put up the matresses and pillows where the ping-pong balls could sneak out to the garden.:-) Chef Juma's dishes are very tasty, we loved having fresh fish every day. Its the place to be when you just want to enjoy nature, sea, and the company of your loved ones.
Wonderful characterful house of wandering corridors and fresh breeze situated right on the paradisiacal Msambweni beach. Lovely pool and beautifully decorated rooms and wonderful grounds. A very tranquil place to spend time with friends and family. Msambweni beach is also great due to far less hassle then in Diani. Susie was attentive and communicative though we had no issues at all. Glorious spot; will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house on the beach. The house is very spacious, clean and the staff were excellent. Susie was a responsive host. It was a shame there was no wifi but overall, this is a wonderful, relaxing place to stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Susie's place. The property is overlooking the ocean with views from almost every part of the house. There is quick and direct access to the ocean through beautiful forest/garden. The pool is lovely and there are many nice outdoor and indoor spaces. The staff in the house were extremely helpful and accommodating. I can't recommend her place enough and while it is new to Airbnb it has hosted people for many years. Thank you so much for making our holiday!

Samawati House is nestled in the serene and secluded Msambweni beach, located south of Mombasa and Diani on Kenya's Indian Ocean coastline. To reach this hidden gem, one has to embark on a scenic drive off the main Mombasa - Tanzania road, approximately 20 kms south of Ukunda, through typical coastal coconut plantations, small villages, and lush Mango Trees, Neem Trees, and Terminalia catappa's with their broad orange leaves providing a cool shade.
The beach is named after the hardy and wild fruits tree indigenous to Msambweni, which adds to the authenticity of the place. Unlike the busier resort beaches such as Diani and Malindi, Msambweni beach remains unspoiled and untouched by the hustle and bustle of tourism. The number of 'beach boys' and curio stalls are minimal, providing visitors with a peaceful and private experience.
Msambweni offers a glimpse into the Kenya coast of old, where fishermen offer their catch of the day from a 'kikapu' at your doorstep, and fruit sellers cycle around with a selection of fresh picked coastal fruits such as mangoes, paw-paws, limes, and coconuts. The village life here is quaint and pretty, offering a unique and authentic experience for guests.
Msambweni is very easy to get to from Ukunda airport if guests are flying into Diani. The roads are all very good and there is no traffic at all. Guests can either organise a rental vehicle through us or we provide a trusted taxi drivers number in our guide which we will email you.
The journey from the airport to Msambweni takes 30 mins.
Once guests are in the house Boda boda can be used to deliver items to the house from Diani otherwise we can also organise Boda Boda, Tuk Tuks or a taxi to deliver items.
If guests want to rent boda boda this can also be organised and this makes exploring the nearby surroundings a lot of fun.
Funzi Island is one of the closest and easiest areas to explore.
