The apartment was in a perfect location for walking down to the beach and Main Street. The other reviews were accurate regarding the noise from the apartment above. The person upstairs is not loud, but even the footsteps can be heard. The stand alone fans really did help with disguising the noise and the person above was quiet at night. The apartment was clean and had a hair dryer, coffee machine, soap, shampoo, etc. Perfect location for a visit to Santa Monica. Walk to the beach is about 1/2 a mile - easy downhill walk.

the instructions do not list that the apartment # is not listed on the actual apartment. every other apartment seemed to have an apartment# but this one, so we had to guess that it was the right apartment which could have potentially caused problems if it happened to be the wrong apartment and someone was home assuming that someone was trying to break in. The tub was either dirty or stained but it did not look good. we found a small bug in the bedroom on the floor and we love that they had complimentary coffee but the coffee pot where the water goes was dirty and because we did not want to mess anything up we went and brought coffee instead. the apartment also had an odor that was not pleasant and neither were the neighbors upstairs who were loud past 12. My partner reached out to the owner through Airbnb and never received a response. Overall the apartment looks great and looks exactly like the general pictures but when I pay for something I expect it to be 100% at its best

Light and airy and close to the beach - this is what I was looking for and this is what I got! Simple furnishings with most of what you need for a short stint. I would've liked a few more kitchen items, but we managed well. Beds were comfy for a week long stay... the only two things I will note as less than ideal are 1) the sounds from neighbors - we could hear snoring above us, so the floors and walls are thin, and 2) water pressure was so intense that it was nearly uncomfortable (and I nave pretty serious water pressure home)! It looks as though there is still some remodeling happening, but we had no issues with that. Loved the onsite parking perk and the great washer and dryer downstairs :) All in all I would stay again and felt lucky to find the spot!

We loved staying here! Everything was super clean when we arrived. The neighborhood is quiet, full of trees, people walking their dogs, etc. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and Main St, which has plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. It’s a beautiful apartment- we enjoyed breakfast outside on the picnic table every day. When we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the TV, Melodie came over and was very friendly, kind, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Melodie is an excellent host! Very responsive to messages, and even dropped off a new blow dryer for us. The place was the perfect location, walkable to everything and loved the natural lighting everywhere. 10/10 recommend.
