Great place in a great location. Lots of space with full kitchen. Easy walk to the beach, the pier and many restaurants. Would highly recommend this place.

This was a nice place. Our point of contact, Illia, installed a full-length mirror at my request. It’s in good shape and is also well-equipped. However, it is lacking in many areas. First, when I booked, I was given the prestigious Ocean Avenue address. It was a bait and switch once I got there. I contacted the owners and they faulted Google. The communication was inconsistent. I understand owners have a lot going on but I feel we were left unattended and there was a definite lack of communication. I paid for early check in and late check out. We were literally ambushed by the cleaning crew upon checkout. The cleaners threw the dirty towels in the dryer. I told them they were dirty and needed to be washed. It didn’t seem as if they cared. With that said, the cleaning could have been much better and I’m confident I left it cleaner than when I got it. As for the hosts, the whole experience was incredibly cryptic to say the least. It’s a noisy location but also a nice location:
The apartment was nice. Our washer wasn’t working but they were able to repair it on day 2 of our stay. However, I don’t believe this place is owned by “Amber and John.” This is a unit inside a rental building. We dealt with two men named Jad and Illia and there was a slight language barrier. On day 2, I received a rude text from Jad that was apparently intended for another guest (he apologized for the error). The situation left me feeling unsure about choosing this place. That said, there were no other issues for the rest of our 3-day stay. I wish the listing was more honest about who the host is.
My family of four had a wonderful stay at this Santa Monica apartment. It was perfectly situated for us -- a few minutes walk to the beach, maybe a 10-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier, and a few more minutes to the Third Street Promenade. The space is lovely. It's on two levels, with a kitchen, dining area, half bath, and TV area on the first floor and the two bedrooms and full bath on the second. There's also a third level that has a terrace with a view of the beach, and which provides access to the building's pool. The apartment was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. (We would have liked some dressers in the bedrooms, but we made do with the closet shelves.). The building was also just fine. We had no problem getting into the underground garage, and kept our rental there all week. Also no problem getting in and out of the building. I would highly recommend the space, and the hosts, and would be delighted to stay there again.
