There are ducks and other birds that walk around it was fun to see them. When first entering we could hear people it sound like they were in the unit. They were not there is a shared vent that you can see light through. They do say in the listing that the house is split..The front door knob is a dummy lock so if you just lock that without realizing it. It could easily be popped open, there is a dead bolt that you use the key in so you can secure the unit.
