We love our neighborhood and living in Washington, D.C., and want you to have a great visit!
Enjoy the best of Capitol Hill within a short walk: Eastern Market, Barracks Row, local restaurants (from by-the-slice pizza to Michelin starred experiences), bars, coffee shops (a Starbucks is 3 blocks away), parks, playgrounds and splash pads. The entire Historic Capitol Hill neighborhood is a historic landmark, so rowhomes like ours (dating from 1890) make the area charming. There is history all around you—see if you can find the home of Francis Scott Key, composer of our National Anthem—but the neighborhood is vibrant with local shops, eateries, and community spaces. We are 2.5 blocks from 4 different parks, 2 with playgrounds. The halls of Congress and the Library of Congress are just a 10 and 5 minute walk away.
Walk, hop on a shared bike or take a quick metro ride to the National Mall with all of the Smithsonian Museums, Washington Monument and national landmarks. Navy Yard? Just head south to Nationals Stadium in less than a mile. Catch a rideshare to the Kennedy Center or Dupont Circle. Going further afield? Hop on a metro at one of the two nearby stations to get anywhere in the city with ease. Then, come back home and relax. Time to depart? We are a 15-minute cab ride from Reagan-National Airport and convenient to Dulles Airport.

We about 3.5 blocks to either the Eastern Market or the Capitol South metro stations. Multiple bus lines run along Penn Ave. You can also rent a city bike or grab a scooter.
All parking is zoned residential and typically requires a permit (though it is rarely checked). We can provide you with ONE parking pass that will allow you to park on the street. We do not have dedicated parking, but it is common to find parking on our block or right in front of our house. With all the other transportation options, having a car is not required.
